The Disabled Daycare Center

Hi,  this is Garrett Householder with the father-son soccer project.  Today we had an opportunity to do something special, that would provide love and care to very special people. Today we visited a daycare center for the disabled in Diriamba.  We brought a meal of rice and chicken along with several 3-liters of soda. The people there were all very kind, and also very happy, and were very excited to see us. We all had a good time talking and laughing with the children there. It was a happy and sad experience. There I hand-fed a young girl named Tanya, who could not chew and who also had very little control of her own body.   There were several other children with similar conditions, but the majority were able to feed themselves and were able to converse with us. It made us all smile to see how we could make some people so happy with something so little.  We only spent an hour with them and fed them one meal, and we totally made their day.
