One game down...

Last night we competed with the national basketball team and beat them by a sizable amount. Our coach and director of the trip were able to meet the basketball federation and government officials of the city. At the game, our host got to even sit in the VIP section with the government officials! Fridays are like Sundays here so we went to church this morning. This is the only church in the city where they are able to speak freely about their true faith found only in Jesus Christ. We have another game tomorrow against the national team of Senegal. We watched them warm-up and they do look very athletic. Thanks for praying about some of the girls--they are recovering from colds and catching up on sleep. Continue to pray for Natalie and Callie, as they aren't feeling well. Pray that the team would be free from injury and be able to play in the competitive game tomorrow! Thank you for checking this out and for your prayers!! God bless everyone back home.

Great job on your first win but more importantly on being able to meet the government officials. Hopefully they say Christ's love in you. Tell Nat and Callie we are praying for them to feel better quickly so they don't miss out on all the exciting things you all are doing. Is their illness serious or just like a stomach virus? Just a concerned mom wondering???
