Moldova: Worship Has No Language

Today we played the National team again and lost by 20 and I got to share my testimony at halftime with the team.  After the game we went to our other favorite restuarant, McDonald's!!!

But today was more about the ministry we did at the Sonrise project.  It was the last day of ministry in the neighborhoods.  We have been forming great friendships and lots of kids have come everyday. Some kids even came to our game. It has been so great to form relationships with these kids and tell them about Jesus.  We mostly talk to the kids by getting to know them first and then just having conversation with them. Yesterday Jon Noel shared his testimony in our neighborhood and today I got to share mine.  The kids are just desire so much to talk to us.  We are like celebrities. All the kid know all of our names before we meet them.

Also, our Bible studies has been great.  Today we finished the study of the book of Colossians with Pastor Tom.  His teaching has been great for us.  Before Tom's teaching we have about 30 minutes of worsihp with our fellow Sonrise volunteers, most of which are Russian.  They lead our worship in Russian.  Sometimes we know the songs and can sing along in English and occasionally they play an English song for us.  For me personally it is just awesome to see other cultures worship our Lord.  And even though I don't know the words of the songs, I still know we are worshipping our God.  They Moldavian Christians passion for God is just amazing to see because it is so hard for them to be Christians here.  People in Moldova think that Christians are weak, especially in sports. Their passion for God inspires us to have that same passion and dedication.

Well that's all.  The rest of our time here looks like this....

Tomorrow: City Championships of Basketball all day.

Sunday:  We will go to Church and then to the celebration picnic.

Our flight leaves at 4am Monday.

In His Grip,

Zach Brogdon- Romans 10:14-15

    Zach,

We went to the Doulos games today - Doulos is the Greek for "Bondservant" Paul used. Great passing league football games with 10 Christian schools and then worship and speakers about our Lord. local Heard Chris Ricks quarterback from Florida State who is now a Christian speak. Also heard from the Coaches Of Influence (COI) who spoke about missionary trips to Samoa. Great things happening in our Lord's name through sports - just like AIA. God is AWESOME. Your brother played great. We spoke of you often with everyone - praying for the SVC boys - and your whole team. Still praying for you all tomorrow at the championships - may many be touched for our Lord! Glad you'll be home Monday, Zach. Love, XXOO Mom (Dad and Kyle)

Hey Jon - still don't know if you read the blogs but we are so looking forward to you coming home - we've missed you. Everyone asks about you and wants to see you when you get back. It'll be a long 'ride' home but I hope all goes well. Can't wait to hear all about everything you've done and shared the last three weeks. You are in our prayers. Love you.
