Latest from Russia

By Craig...I just got off the phone with Rasid and Luke in Southern Russia.  The team had just finished their second game and were on a fourteen hour bus ride through the night to Vo.  They attended a Russian church yesterday and enjoyed the interaction with congregation.   After church, the team visited and placed flowers at the orphange/school where the terrorist held the entire school hostage last year.  It was a very moving time.

Before the game tonight, the team held a clinic and were able to share with those attending.  Every player has been able to share their testimony at either a game or clinic.  At the game this evening many of the member came to cheer the team onto their second straight victory by 16 pts.  The team was able to pass out close to 2500 evangelistic team brochure during their stay in Vl.  The team had a post game meal at Rasid's house where they were well fed.  Luke said the team spirits were high after a good win and a full belly.  Please pray for the team and their spirits after there long bus ride.  They will have the day off tomorrow and then play three days in a row.  If they win all three, they will play in the championship on Day Four.

Greetings from rain-soaked Iowa! Today is clear and beautiful, but more rain in the forecast. Thankfully we are not as wet as the Indiana folks.

I'm sure the bus trip will be long and hard, looking at the map I have. We pray for the team to be well rested for the tournament coming up. Congratulations on the wins so far - we wish we could be there to watch! We heard that the last game started with a high-flyin dunk by EJ - fun!

We pray for your safety and good health, as well as more opportunities to share team brochures and the gospel to those who have not heard. I would love to hear all your testimonies someday. Hopefully someone is getting a record of them so we can read or hear them when you get back.

    Stay strong! Mom J.
