After a day off -- it was great to get back on the court and continue the unselfish play and fun! What a great weekend -- Saturday we visited a highly populated migrant area and put on a clinic for the children. Six of us spent times with a lot of sports and arts & crafts. Definitely great fellowship that continued into Sunday. As we got back on the court today -- we had our own bus en route to the arena (no subway, cab or city bus), the guys were really emphatic about playing hard and playing together. If I said the gym was hot, that wouldn't suffice. It was a sauna. But the facility was nice - and we were making 3s and running the floor great. Aaron, Will and Mark really rebounded and ran the floor, Austin and Matt S really ran the show, and Mike, Claude, Kyler, and Matt M really dominated the perimeter on both ends. Usually the funnest part of our day followed -- a team meal after the game. Both squads and staffs enjoyed a hearty meal -- great dialogue (thanks to wonderful translators) and a warm connection via the game of basketball. Sightseeing (The Great Wall) and another game await tomorrow. The guys have been a model of consistency, effort, and a wonderful representation of what the trip is all about. Great opportunities await --
Until next time --
