And So It Begins...

My name is Zach Brogdon and I will be your offical Moldova Basketball Blogger for this trip.  Everyone arrived last night safely.  Some were on time, while others were a little later because their flights were delayed. Last night we got to experience Skyline and their famous 3-way, which is composed of cheese on top of chili on top spaghetti...YUM!  We then arrived at AIA headquarters and got our room assignments.  Then spent the rest of the night watching the Laker Game (Oh and in case you were wondering the Lakers WonLaughing).  Today we woke up at 8am ate breakfast and drove to practice.  We practiced 9:30-12:15.  We had a fabulous Gospel training session from 2-3 taught by our 6' 9'' Team Discpler, Tom.  Then had another practice from 3:30-6. Needlas to say, it was a very exhausting day.  However, getting to know the AIA staff, coach, and each other has been fun. Tomorrow we are going to a high ropes course, so we are looking forward to that in the morning.  We would like to thank all of you guys for your prayers and support of us.

Oh...and Matt gives a Shout-Out to the Dawson family.

Hi Zachary and the AIA Moldova Team,

It's a sad sight - there are black armbands being worn here in "Lakeland" after that game last night.

My boss, who is from Ohio, wants to know why you only had a SKYLINE "3 Way" rather than a "5 Way" - -whatever that means???? You'll have to ask Jason. He told me Jason is probably too young to remember when Xenia was totally leveled and basically destroyed from a tornado.

GREAT VIDEO! Love the blog. Tell Jon we like the new "do" and shared the video with his Mom/family last night.

Many people are praying daily for your team - for you to be strong in the Lord and to be "His hands" of love sowing seeds to everyone you meet... everywhere along the way, in the airports, hotel, restaurants and on the street! Psalm 40:3

    In His ever-gracious grip,
    Ruth Brogdon (Zach's Mom)
