AIA Lebanon now 4-0 even amidst machine gun fire

Now that all of our friends and family are freaking out by the title let me explain.  At the conclusion of our game last night we were exiting the gym when machine gun fire broke out very close to us.  It got our attention to say the least.  We had the players run up and down the street to see if they could find the source but they came up empty.  (just kidding)  Apparently all the gun fire was related to a celebration for the new government.  We were all a little scared but it did not take long for our locals to determine what was going on.  Mrs. Coblentz, Eric swears that when you read this you will want to come here and bring him home but he assures us all that he is fine.  As for the game, we played our toughest team yet.  It was the Lebanese national team who were 19 and younger.  In the first quarter we lost the services of Eric C. due to an ankly sprain.  That left us with only 5 players for the rest of the game.  Going into the fourth quarter we were up by 6 points after losing the third quarter 17-12.  But the fourth was all AIA.  Myles Daley had 17 of his 35 points in the last period including three three's.  It was a spectacular offensive showing for him.  Eric Reiners also had his best offensive game ending with 12.  His rebounding and defense were key to win.  But the player of the game had to be Bobby Huck.  Bobby consistently got the team into our offense and made multiple plays on both ends to help with the win.  it was by far the most physical game we have been in.  Please pray that Eric's ankle heals and that the swelling goes down.  We play a game tonight and Eric will be a game time decision.  Today we are at a coaching clinic which has gone very well.  We have roughly ten coaches attending and we are teaching them the  basics of the game.  We are having a great time and the team is really coming together both on the court and off.  We firmly believe that God is in control and the He is doing His will here.  Please keep praying that He continues to move.  God Bless,

All your boys!!!!!
